Anishka's BFD Review

Date: June 10, 2006

Location: Mountain View, CA

Venue: Shoreline Amphitheatre

They were the very first band to perform in the biggest alternative music festivals in northern california. the crowd was small yet close. The hush sound came on and immediately started to sing their first single off like vines: wine red. The people around me, who had said earlier that they weren't interested in them whatsoever, all snapped their heads towards the stage and gave eachother looks that seemed to say, "hey....this isn't bad!" Their set was extremely short, only playing around 5 or 6 songs. From the begining they were excited and enthusiastic about the crowd, regardless that it was no more than 100 people. (Half of which weren't even there to see them.) As soon as the set ended, they smiled and acknowledged fans, Greta even giving her schedule/peices of paper to a group of girls in the front who had been very much into the band's show. After, they did a meet and greet at a radio station booth. They were more than happy to please their fans. After being cut off, they notioned that they'd be outside for a bit longer for those who still wanted to meet them but ran out of time. They showed that they were genuinely appreciative of their fans, and really wanted to take the time to meet them. Aside from a few technical difficulties, they performed wonderfully.
