This was the second time I’ve seen The Hush Sound play live. The first time they were the opening act, but about 7 ½ months later, they were THE act. There’s only one word can really describe their musical talents: amazing. Not to mention they’re funny, nice and interactive with the crowd. They even asked the crowd how they liked the opening bands. Everyone really got to see The Hush Sound's sense of humor. Before the song, "Crawling Towards The Sun," Greta asked Bob what the song is about and he's like, "Well, it is about the sun and flowers." And so Greta says, "What else?" Then Bob hesitates and says, "Bitches." During the song, "Crawling Towards The Sun," Adam [the Hush Sound's merch guy] went up on stage and danced. There was a pole in the middle of the stage. Then, Adam went off of the stage and after the song Bob said, "Adam broke my promise. He said he would pole dance..." Then, Greta said something like, "Adam [the Hush Sound's Merch guy] told me about a video on YouTube. It's a video of these two girls singing this song in their bathroom and one of the girls hip - bumps the other...you know how some girls do that some times?...and then she accidentally knocks the camera down and it breaks. It was funny, but sad." Before the song, "Magnolia," Bob asked Greta what the song is about and she's like, "A garden..." You could tell that Bob was just getting her back. It was a really small and intimate concert. Now, I’m not sure what their goal is with the band (Like, do they want to have a huge fan base and play in sold out huge venues or just little rooms with a small [but loyal] fan base?) but they certainly aren’t in it for the money. I mean, 12 bucks that has to be split up between 4 bands when there were (at most) 150 people? That’s crazy…and dedication. Another thing that was great about the concert was that everyone was so calm about the whole thing. Nobody was going up to Bob, Greta, Chris, or Darren and be all crazy and stuff. Nobody was invading anyone else's privacy. In fact, during the whole show, everyone from all of the bands were casually walking from back stage to any where they really wanted. Also, after the show Greta (and eventually Bob, but I wasn't able to stick around long enough to find out who else came out becuase I had to leave) came out and gave out autographs and pictures and stuff. She's really nice and I'd love to be able to meet her (and the rest of the band!) again. It was the best concert I've ever been to and I'm going to every other Hush Sound concert that I'm able to!
