Alrighty! Best concert I've ever been too...hands down! The time on our meet and greet said 4:45. We get there and whaddya know! No one's ready and were told to come back at 5:40. Not blaming anyone but it was quite a letdown for me. We came up and had our posters signed, I gave 'em treats (Chris is allergic to peanut butter so he couldn't have any) and we talked a bit. I wasn't my usual quick minded self so I bet I sounded pretty stupid. I was trying to keep up the convos but it was a little hard. The Hushies were all tired from their trip, Darren being sick. Only one that seemed to have energy was Chris. Sad thing was the other people for the meet and greet just went and had their posters signed and then juz went away from The Hushies, found that odd. Anyways I kinda felt like we were annoying or bothering THS so we left 'em and they went backstage.

Every single opening band was awesome! Haven't been to a concert where I liked all the bands before. This Is Me Smiling, Murder By Death, and This Providence (order of who I liked best) were pretty sweet. THS was here and there during the performances. Murder By Death had some die hard fans in the crowd. One group drove 10 hrs from Montana to see them. Glad they have good fans cuz they deserve it. Murder By Death's Celloist/Keyboardist gal is bloody awesome! Gotta give her mad props cuz she's got some skizzills! lol! This Providence was good but the lead guitarist was pretty loud and it was hurtin my ears a bit. This Is Me Smiling was incredible all around. I forgot to hit the ATM so I didn't have too much money. Just enough for a THS hoodie and the This Is Me Smiling dudes let me have their cd for $7 (all the money I had left). It was a long wait for THS with some back pain and some funny smelling girl...lol...but it was worth it.

They played 17 songs (won't list so it won't ruin anything for anybody who hasn't seen 'em yet. I got a ton of video and pics. I didn't get too many good ones of Darren cuz where I was positioned made it pretty difficult (Bob-O in the way). Almost used up a brand new memory card with 'em. The crowd was awesome! A lotta people new the lyrics and sang along...but of course...there were some songs people didnt know the lyrics besides the exceptional few. A lot of the times I couldn't hear Greta cuz the crowd was so loud. Either that or the group of girls I was with was just extremely loud (I was the only dude in my group of 5). Greta decided to share a cheesy joke from her dad. She told her dad that they were in Boise and he said Boise is Noisy!!! Lol..ya..pretty cheesy. But I was really happy the crowd was into it and I think THS loved that. Bob decided to explain about Sweet Tangerine again of how a guy in Boise told them to scream or get off the stage which bummed 'em out. So they made Sweet Tangerine for him. I think that's pretty neat. They said the guy apologized after the concert though. This was the Hawthorne Heights concert this spring. At the end Darren threw his drumsticks and one hit the girl that was in front of me in the head and I grabbed it off the floor.

After the concert was best. All the band members hung out with everyone. One of my friends thought it would be cool to take pics of her with the band members not knowing shes there. I think we scared Greta a bit, sorry Greta. We got some autographs and I had 'em sign the back of my "It's Ok, I'm a Ninja" shirt. Hit Bob first then Darren and Chris, and then Greta she was a lil hard to get too. We were hanging around the merch tables and when I had to pay for my stuff. Girls got their stuff for free...crazy merch dudes and my flirty friends. While this was going on some of This Providence was going around with a camera recording everything. Bob was doing this jig and then he lifted a This Providence dude and ran off (missed the jig with my cam but got the rest). They were having this thing where you had to yell puppy angrily cuz I guess it's hard to say puppy without being happy.

Then they did something with Greta. Something about her being the arms for one of This Providence's band members while they told a story. After a lotta people left, Sheldon from This Is Me Smiling asked us if we were waiting till everyone started packin their stuff. We told him we still needed Greta's autograph and pic so he called her over when she came out from backstage. She signed the back of my shirt and drew "a convertible" (she didn't...and now I can't wear my favorite shirt as much anymore...lol!). Got a pic and we just talked a bit. Told her about my blog poem for them and my "You Are the Moon" remake. She wanted to read 'em but I didn't have time to print 'em out before I left. So...I had to send 'em to her in FAQ...she almost gave me her e-mail, lol! Asked her what the chords are for The Artist-F C G, C G Am lol...she said she hasn't played that song in 6 months so don't blame her if she's wrong.

Concert officially over and I came home one very happy/hungry dude...
